TBA Firefly Penowrap® is used in conjunction with other TBA Firefly products to maintain the FRL of various walls, floors and ceilings where they are penetrated by either structural or service penetrations.
Tested in accordance with AS1530.4-2014 and Assessed in accordance with AS4072.1-2005.
The referenced compliance reports below are from an accreddited testing laboratory which meet Specification A2.3 of NCC2016 amendment 1 (including prior versions) & Schedule 5 of NCC2019 (Including Ammendment 1) for determination of an FRL.
Please ask for the relevant Regulatory Information Reports from an Accredited Testing Laboratory to ensure that you are covered for your specific Wall, Floor or Ceiling Type and your specific penetration size and orientation.
TBA Firefly Penowrap® is to be installed in Strict Accordance with the concise construction details contained within these Reports.
PROMASEAL® Bulkhead Sealer System is made using high density mineral wool that is coated with PROMASEAL® Bulkhead Sealer. The coated mineral wool remains in-situ during a fire situation and forms a barrier against the passage of flame, smoke and toxic gases.
The system is the simplest of all fire stopping products to install. It is also one of, if not the most economical product to use. It can be installed in both concrete/masonry floors and walls (with an equal or greater fire resistance level) and has been tested up to 120 minutes with various penetrating applications.
In many buildings, power cables (e.g. information technology and telecommunication services) are continuously added, altered and removed. PROMASEAL® Bulkhead Sealer System enables this process to be carried out with the minimum of mess and inconvenience.
PROMASEAL® Bulkhead Sealer Systems are non loadbearing.

PROMASEAL® SupaWrap is designed to provide insulation criteria onto metal pipes, cables and cable trays.
The deemed to satisfy requirements of the Building Code of Australia requires copper pipes and other service penetrations to be able to achieve the same insulation criteria as the element they are passing through when tested to the requirements of AS 1530.4:2014.
For metal pipes in walls and all services through slabs. A length of 600mm is required using the PROMASEAL® SupaWrap. Generally, the requirement is for application to both faces of the element. However, for slabs there are selected approvals available for application to the top side only.
Cable trays and cables while not as highly conductive as metal pipes will still transfer heat to the unexposed side of a fire resisting element. In these cases the penetrating element must be protected so as to not transfer this heat and possibly contribute to fire spread. The advantage of the PROMASEAL® SupaWrap product is that the extension of the wrap is only for 300mm* (depending on wall thickness) from the face of the wall as opposed to other solutions that can be as long as 800mm.
Trafalgar Fire FyreCHOKE Conduit Collars are designed to provide maximum protection against the spread of fire through walls and floors that are penetrated by plastic conduits, plastic pipes. FyreCHOKE Collars are simple to install, simply retro-fit around the service and fix to the wall or floor.
NCC 2022 ready!
Suitable for all types of rigid plastic conduits including:
Up to -/240/240
AS 2419.1-2017 requires that where fire hydrant system pipework is likely to be exposed to fire in a building that is not sprinkler protected, the pipe supports shall have measures taken to prevent its early collapse when exposed to fire (per section 10.4.1). To meet this requirement, Trafalgar Fire has engaged expert fire safety engineers to assess the performance of the FyreWrap® Systems.
Up to 90-minute operational protection
FyreWrap® is the leading passive fire protection solution for commercial ductwork. The lightweight Insulfrax core ensures high temperature insulation and performance. Fibreglass reinforced scrim completely encapsulates the core for additional handling strength, tear resistance and antibacterial resistance.
PROMASPRAY® P300 is a spray or trowel applied, single package factory controlled premix, based on vermiculite and gypsum.
PROMASPRAY® P300 is a lightweight coating that provides very efficient fire resistance with minimal thickness to return air plenums and air handling ductwork.
Building types that benefit from the use of PROMASPRAY® P300 include a wide range of educational, leisure and entertainment centres, and commercial projects.
FyreFLEX® Fire Rated Sealant is a water based, low VOC and environmentally friendly fire rated, intumescent based sealant. FyreFLEX® has two distinct applications, the first being fire protection of construction and expansion joints in fire rated barriers. The second application being fire stopping of services passing through openings in fire barriers.
TWRAP is a 25mm thick foil-faced, fire protection wrap that has been engineered to provide insulation performance on service penetrations as required by the National Construction Code (NCC) and tested in accordance with AS1530.4-2014.
What is TWRAP?
Key Features
When exposed to fire, most softwoods char at about 0.66mm/min and most hardwoods about 0.5mm/min. The fire performance of a timber structural element will obviously depend on these charring rates and the loadbearing capacity of the residual timber.
If the calculated residual timber is inadequate, Promat can offer various solutions normally using a board encasement. Promat also has systems for the protection of timber rafters or bearers where they pass through a fire rated wall. These can be protected either with spray or board systems. Contact Promat technical department for more details.
The relative complexity of any ductwork system passing through different fire compartments and the relevance of the system’s function in ambient as well as fire conditions can make the selection of a suitable ductwork system difficult.
Promat provides guidance on fire performance requirements and a wide range of solutions for protecting ductwork and other self supporting systems.
